How to email a WhatsApp audio (and convert it to MP3)

Emailing a voice message is the easiest way to save and share WhatsApp audios. Here’s the process for iPhone, Android, and WhatsApp Web, plus what to do if the file arrives as .opus and won’t play.

Quick steps (works on phone and PC)

1. Open the chat with the voice message.
2. Long-press the audio → Share/Forward.
3. Choose Gmail/Outlook or your mail app.
4. It will attach as a file (.opus/.m4a). Send the email.
5. If it won’t open, use the WhatsApp → MP3 converter.

Email a WhatsApp audio from iPhone

1. Long-press the audio → Forward → Share.
